Quick Summary - TLDR
I’m a best fit for adults looking for individual therapy in person in Decorah or via telehealth throughout Iowa that identify as ADHD/autistic/AuDHD/Highly Sensitive/gifted/trauma survivors/people pleasers/burn out/anxious or high masking. I especially like working with college students, parents and newly diagnosed individuals.
I am LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Modalities: Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, Nervous System Informed Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT
Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays 8:00am-4:30pm (In person on Monday & Tuesday only)
Insurance: In network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, United Healthcare, UMR
Not a fit if you need: Couples/Family counseling, court related services, crisis services and after hours availability, multiple sessions per week, neuropsych testing.
I Work With Adults Who
Have ADHD and/or are autistic, were recently diagnosed, or question if these may fit for them
Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or chronically burned out
Have been labeled as gifted or highly sensitive
Struggle with social connection or feeling like they fit in
Feel like they are somehow “too much” and “not enough” at the same time.
Have experienced trauma, abuse, or difficult relational experiences
Are navigating strained relationships with family of origin or past partners
Want support understanding patterns that have developed over time
Experience hormonal mood changes, including PMDD, PME, perimenopause
Live with complex or chronic medical conditions and have experienced dismissal or delayed diagnosis
Examples include autoimmunce conditions, digestive disorders, MCAS, POTS, dysautonomia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, fibromyalgia, or similar conditions.

I May Not Be the Best Fit If You Are Looking For:
Crisis sessions or on-call support
Multiple therapy sessions per week
Neuropsychological testing or documentation for certain things
Couples or family therapy
Court involved services such as custody evaluations or court-ordered substance use treatment
Highly structured or worksheet-driven therapy
Religious based counseling (I welcome clients of all faiths and belief systems and respect clients’ use of religious or spiritual practices to support their well-being but I am not the right fit if seeking therapy which actively comes from a religious lens)
